Cedric Brown

Board of Trustees

United Kingdom

Cedric is the Founder of Blue Skies Advising. He has deep experience in the nonprofit and philanthropy sectors, and his past collaborations include ABFE, Atlantic Institute, Blavity/AfroTech, Color of Change, the Congressional Black Caucus, Google, Project Include, Oakland Museum of California, The Guardian.org. He was an early funder of renowned impact organisations including Color of Change, Green for All, Voto Latino, Hidden Genius Project, Tech Equity Collaborative, and Indivisible. Cedric is the co-founder of Brothers Code (now a program of The Hidden Genius Project), Jacobs/Jones Literary Prize (now a program of NC Writers Network), Black Funders Network of the Bay Area. He is also a founding donor of Randall Kenan Literary Prize for Black LGBTQ Fiction and of the African Literary Award, offered by the Museum of the African Diaspora. Cedric holds a BA in Public Policy Analysis from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Masters in Education Policy from Stanford University.
