Marlon Peterson is the host of the podcast, Decarcerated, which highlights the journeys of resilience, redemption and success of formerly incarcerated people. A Brooklyn born Trinidadian, Marlon also identifies as formerly incarcerated. His writings have appeared and been cited in TheNation, Gawker, The Atlantic, Huff Post, Black Press USA, Ebony, The Marshall Project and the Trinidad &Tobago Guardian. He runs The Precedential Group, a community based consultancy firm that improves the services and leadership capacity of public organizations. He is a 2015-2016 Soros Justice Fellow, Aspen Ideas Festival Scholar, Ebony Magazine Power 100 Honoree and TED Resident.
